With the final words of the ritual complete the Wizard tore hole from the physical world into the Nevernever. Casting such a spell in his lab and home domain was a much simpler process that it would have been so it only required a small amount of preparation. The Wizard then steps through the portal he has made and enters the world of fairies, ghosts and other spirits. He has only recently began to explore more in this spirit world and over the last few months had become much more comfortable walking between worlds.
The Wizard is once again struck by how gloomy his house seems in this realm. While the Nevernever is not a mirror image of the physical world it does share some aspects in common. Once he gets to the first floor he sees evidence of the violent magical confrontation with Raven that ended their marriage. While the damage had been fixed in the physical world here in the Nevernever there was still a hole in the wall where the Wizard slammed his wife into the wall using a nasty piece of Air Evocation. The Wizard wondered for the 100th time that day where Raven was now and when she would come back for her revenge.
Walking through this room as his least favorite part of this chore that he was performing today, but there was no way of avoiding it. He continues into what would be his backyard in the physical world to check on the seed that he had planted during the winter. As he walks deeper into the field he sees the first bit of blue and it brings a smile to the Wizard’s face. This is the first time since the Wizard and Conor had planted the bluebonnet seed here in the Nevernever that any blue could be seen. Back in the physical world this planet would not have been visible. The object he was currently gazing at was of more of a concept or an idea rather than an actual plant.
The Wizard had notice that since the original bluebonnet had been given to The Marchioness in January that very few bluebonnets had been blooming in Texas and he thought the only reason that some were was this spirit flower growing in his yard. While the Wizard was not some typical cowboy hat wearing Texan he had spent much of his life in Texas and was happy that in time the bluebonnet would make a comeback. It would also piss of The Marchioness to no end which was a nice bonus. In order to keep this bluebonnet hidden from The Marchioness and any other denizens of the Nevernever the Wizard had cast a veil keep others from even seeing it. The last thing he needed was some fae from either the Summer or Winter Court trying to take this for their own. Eventually, he would not be able to hide it anymore, but by then the bluebonnet will have fully bloomed and be a major source of glamour. This would surely bring the attention both Courts then which would put Conor and the Wizard in danger or a good bargaining position. Conor was technically the owner of the bluebonnet, but as he lived in an apartment near Dallas he had nowhere that he could nurture this one of a kind spirit.
The Wizard approached the bluebonnet and begins to wave his hands over the plant while speaking a few quick words in Greek. Water sprang from his hands a rained down over the bluebonnet and was quickly absorbed into the earth. The Wizard had been doing this over this a few times a week since planting the bluebonnet. This was just one of the magical projects the Wizard had going so he quickly turns and marches back to his melancholy house.
