As the Texas sun sets slowly in the West, a chance set of circumstances find our heroes enjoying an impromtu “team meal” at Mama’s Daughter’s Diner on Irving Boulevard. Jamie consults with the Stacy the waitress, a neonate Freakshow Member, on possible magic alarms for the diner versus Dallas’s “Spooky side”. Elena had recieved a vision from her patron which then led her to the Diner. Conor and were playing a gig there (what else would we do on a Friday night?). A little early for a meeting with his Venatori contacts, Matthew arrives at the same time as Ren does on a food run from Uncle. Then things get weird.
First, the auditor that reeks of “White Court” arrives to strike some literal fear into the owner of the joint…
Second, A big big man, later ID’d as an Ogre, enjoys a chicken fried steak…
Third, Stacy in her conversation with Jamie identifies Rafa as having come in the previous week, had a brief and nervous meeting with a stranger, then left without his food…
Then as the last slivers of sunlight hide behind the horizon, a Jaguar Warrior of the Red Court comes in and uses some kind of strange amulet, pulls a spear out of the NeverNever, and all Hell breaks loose.
Elena gets the mass of mortals out of the crowded diner and harm’s way by smashing the nearby window with a chair and playing crowd control as they rushed out. Conor heroically engages in melee, while Jamie, Ren, Matthew and Erica sling spells at it until it dies as a broken, bruised, blood-vomiting, deaf vampire… on fire. The corpse is consummed, leaving only the amulet and the heroes trapped inside a misty alien demesne.
The heroes are trapped within the confines of this powerful magical artifact that’s sole purpose is the gathering of blood for the release of an ancient blood spirit. The “borders” of this Nevernever realm are spacial loops, sending anyone that exits out re-entering thru the other side of the effect, with attached killer floating worms in the process. The killer worms also come streaming in should the curtain between physical and spirit realms be rent (Conor found that out the hard way).
Jamie and the others analyze the amulet, and after several prayers of help to Elena’s Patron and the Lord God Almighty (Matthew), they deduce that the only way out is to finish what the RC started: finish the Summoning Ritual for the thing that was imprisoned in this horrible dark place and defeat it. After some on-the-spot research, some donated blood, more praying, and Conor stripping down to his tighty whiteys, they complete the “Calling”…
And as the curtain closes, the heroes see a form vaguely reminiscent of a T-Rex made of Blood coming out of the mists directly towards them…

- (Stagelucas: Thank you! But this wasn’t completely from scratch, I just salvaged a one shot that I ran about a year ago, mostly the diner, the spatial loopiness, and that the amulet was responsible. Everything else was half-remembered notes, Jamie’s PC and Matthew’s PC helping make bad guys to fight, and the seat of my pants! My favorite way to fly!)
